Bed Bug Treatment Preparation For Active Dwellings
1. Drapes must be removed, bagged and run through Dryer (hot) Cycle..
2. Items under Beds must be removed. 3. Night stands and dressers must be emptied. 4. Garments in night stands and dressers must be bagged and Run through Dryer (hot) Cycle. 5. All contents from closets must be removed and bagged and run through Dryer (hot) Cycle. 6. All bedding must be removed, bagged and run through Dryer (hot) Cycle. 7. All bedding on sleeping sofas must be removed, bagged and run through Dryer (hot) Cycle. 8. Vacuum mattresses, box springs, furniture and carpets thoroughly, pay particular attention to seams, tufts, edges, and the perimeter edge of wall to wall carpet. Dispose of vacuum contents in a sealed trash bag immediately afterward. 9. After treatment, mattresses and box springs are recommended to be placed in a zippered bed encasements designed to keep bedbugs out. 10. All Pets must be removed from premises prior to treatment. 11. Fish tanks must be covered. 12. All occupants must leave premises for 4 hours after treatment. 13. Discard cardboard boxes, shoeboxes, paper and plastic bags, old newspapers, stacks of magazines, and similar items in infested rooms 14. Items that cannot be laundered such as electronics, magazines, books, DVD's, videos, CD's, newspapers, toys, and small Knick Knacks, etc. should be placed in bags half full to allow proper treatment with Pest Strips Important Notes:
Preparation is important and necessary and must be performed in order to facilitate treatment and control.
If preparations are not complete and a clutter free environment is not provided the treatment will not be effective. Should the box springs remain, removal of cheesecloth underside is required for proper inspection and/or application. Cheesecloth will be re-attached. Discarding of any compromised (ripped/torn) materials or heavily infested items may be required. Discarded items must be damaged and marked to prevent re-use A clutter free environment must be provided in order to allow access for the service technician to treat all of the needed areas.
Avoid moving items from heavily infested rooms/areas to other less infested rooms. Before re-entry all bagged items must be inspected for pest activity by client.
